Jane Doe and John
Doe v. Hospital Type
of Case: Medical Malpractice
Location: Cook County, Illinois
Result: Confidential, Favorable to Plaintiff
Our client was
misdiagnosed by a major Chicago area hospital as being HIV positive.
The medical error was discovered three years after the original
diagnosis, during which the plaintiff had a child that was aggressively
treated with AZT in order to minimize the risk of spreading and
infecting the child with HIV. The administration of AZT was unnecessary
as the mother was never HIV positive.
